Iris Yan is the Environmental Systems Manager at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Ottawa and has pursued advanced studies in Business Management. A licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Iris brings several years of experience in environmental management, GHG accounting, and sustainable infrastructure development.
Before moving from Toronto to Jasper for her current role, Iris led projects focused on climate risk assessment, Environmental Assessments, and stakeholder engagement. At Jasper Park Lodge, she leads the development and implementation of property-wide sustainability initiatives aligned with Accor’s Planet 21 and broader ESG goals. As Chair of the hotel’s Sustainability Committee, Iris fosters cross-departmental engagement and drives continuous improvement in environmental practices. She also oversees ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting to support transparency, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Beyond her professional work, Iris is passionate about community service. She has served as a board member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) for four years, collaborating with fellow volunteers to advance the engineering profession and benefit the community.
